The clouds flood over my head

Blocking away the sun until the light is dead

The darkness of the clouds begin to pour out

Flooding the streets so the light can't be found

Raindrops hitting all around

Creating new obstacles on the ground

And all the darkness blocks my view

Blocks my sight, so it's no longer on You

I try to find my place

But the darkness has blocked my grace

As the storm continues

Just wishing it would be through

But the rain turns to thunder

All these noises make me wonder

Then come lightning streaks across the sky

Tries to pass off as true light, but I know that that's a lie

Giving false glimpses of hope

As darkness continues to scope

Looking for its next victim
