Sitting in the corner, not speaking a word
Just taking some alone time for me and the Lord
People surround me, but I'm just alone with the Father
Because even with all these people, I'd rather spend my time no other
So I just sit here and tell Him how I feel
Ask Him to show me everything that is real
Because I am living in a world so fake
Living life like a slithering snake
Manipulating Eve, telling her to take a bite
This life is tough so I ask Him to help me fight
He tells me His plans for me and my destiny of greatness
Tells me to just jump, He is here as my harness
Tells me to go for it, this is my purpose
Telling me to follow, for this is where His will is
So I don't blink an eye, I run straight for it
I don't know my track, but I know that He will guide it
He shines His light so I can see ahead
Everywhere I go I know I got there because I followed where He led
For He will never lead me where I'm not meant to be
Trust in Him is the key
For His hand is always over us, guiding us the whole way
All we have to do is take some time and listen to what He has to say
