Thank You, Lord

I’m not doing this for the fame

I do it all to just to praise His name

So you can take my whole portion

I don’t no need the cash or the fortune

All I need is Him with me

Don’t need a fancy shopping spree

I can do with just my daily bread

Because my soul has already been fed

With Him, I can no longer go hungry

He invests a well in me, I will never go thirsty

You can consider me perfectly satisfied  

With just having the Lord on my side

When the storm hits, I won’t flinch a muscle

I know this storm He will tussle

Take it down and carry me away

He will never forsake me or betray

I thank Him for the thick and the thin

Thank Him for the places that I have been

I have spent my nights in the gutter

And I’ve spent nights that couldn’t get better

I’ve been in the storm and escaped

But it has left me reformed and reshaped

A new man with Him in my soul

No longer living life like a blind fool

He has changed my heart in every single way

For that I thank him every single day

Thank You for prayer and thank you the answer

Thank You for curing me of this cancer

This cancer that was eating my soul away

Thank You for pulling me back when I would go astray

There’d be days where I wouldn’t think

And I’d take some of this earthly drink
But it never tasted as good as Yours

Thank You, Lord, for opening up Your doors

And letting me in on this thing called grace

Thank You for showing me Your face

So, Lord, I surrender it all to You

And just listen to what You want me to do

You have all of me, Lord, so go ahead and proceed

Because You are all that I will ever need
