I sit here thinking, what was I made for
I have ideas, but I just don't know for sure
Don’t want to get lost in this world of corporation
I’d rather do something of more importance
We all get lost in the idea of money
Thinking having it will make our days more sunny
Thinking it will make the grass greener
And to get it we will portray any demeanor
The competition of biggest house, nicest cars
And our dreams get lost up in the stars
Get so far, we can’t even remember
We get lost in this life, just another member
No care to help those around me
Just trying to be as successful as I can be
When the cash doesn’t pour, I’ve got nothing
So I forget about the money and try to stand for something
Stand for change, and I’m starting with myself
Pick my dreams back up that I left up on the shelf
Life's to short to worry ‘bout the bills
I’d rather get up and live for the thrills
Live in the moment, forget about the plans
Back to the days when we played drums with pots and pans
Live life with a smile everyday
Change my life to live a different way

To give, even when I have little
Because this life is just too brittle
Time to get lost in the art of giving
Time to get lost in this thing called living
