Two Sticks

We all just want to change the world
To make this a better place

To make an impact that will not soon be forgotten 

Lead a movement that has never before happened

Give speeches that will inspire many

And lead massive crowds to take a stand

But we fear that people won’t follow

That we will be stuck here alone

So we don’t even pursue this

We just sit back and wait for someone else to do the work

But if you don’t take a stand, then who will?

If everyone follows then who is the leader?

No movement has ever started without someone taking a chance

MLK wasn’t the only one to have a dream, but he was the only one to share

And if no body was to follow, he didn't worry

He just had to speak his mind
To tell the world its broken

To speak the minds of thousands

While the rest all stayed silent

If no one ever took a risk, we’d still be living in caves

And if no one banged two sticks together we’d have no fire

So next time you have a dream, bang those sticks

Take a chance and see what happens

If even one follows then you have made a difference

Because a crowd doesn't just appear, it takes time

One person joins, then comes another

Soon enough your movement is in action

But if you never pick up the sticks, the world will never know
