This Chance, One Chance

With each moment, your life grows shorter

You can’t get younger, you only grow older

Less chances,and opportunities become rare

So better make a move, don’t just sit and stare

Because one day you will look back

At your life and your track

Will you like what you see? 

Will you like the person you’ll be?

Or will you be filled with regret and sorrows?

Left with broken promises and a broken tomorrow

Each chance may only come once

So when it comes get up and pounce

Don’t let life slip through your fingers

Because it goes fast, it doesn't just linger

It may leave in just a flash

Be gone and thrown in the trash

Taken to the dump and lost forever

This life is a journey, more of an endeavor

Life’s an undiscovered island, waiting to be explored

But for so long this island has been ignored
So maybe its time to pay some attention

Life is short, doesn’t get an extension

So don’t just sit and write some things on a list

Because they won’t become something you do, just be something you wish
